Ice Lambs stone Mountaineers

Provo (May 6, 2024) In the Varsity D2 South Summer opener the South County Ice Lambs beat the Oquirrh Mountaineers 4-1. 

The first period was a fast paced barn burner with a whopping 49 total shots. The Ice lambs would score three goals on 26 shots. 

Kayson Gunter got the scoring started with 10:41 to go in the first period. 

Ice Lambs goalie Charlie Johnston would stop 23 first period shots and only face one more in the third period. The Mountaineers would score on a Radley Johnson goal.  

The Ice Lambs were led by a pair of Olsons. Afton Olson scoring twice and Tucker Olson assisting on both goals. 

The South County Ice Lambs next game will be home against Outlaws Independent on May 13.
