Salt Lake City (May 6, 2024) The 2024 Summer League for Utah high school hockey started this past week with two of the eight divisions opening competition. The two divisions were Middle School Division 1 and 2.

UCI North MS opened against Bountiful Middle School with a 11-3 victory in the MS Div 1 opener. Coby Denning of UCI North MS scored a hat trick and added an assist for four points in the victory. Jude Fleming also added four points for UCI North MS with two goals and two assists. UCI North MS next game will be May 14 against Park City MS

Brighton MS was a 8-2 winner over Bountiful MS in their summer opener. Maddox German led the way for Brighton MS with four points with two goals and two assists. Andrew Whiting added two goals and an assist. Brighton MS next game will be Friday May 17 against Weber County MS.

In the MS Div 2 opener Skyline MS beat Murray MS 6-3 with Elliot Delany leading the way with four points, two goals and two assists. Defenseman Nico Snow Tibbels had the game winning. goal. Skyline MS next game will be today Monday May 6 at 5:15 p.m. against South County MS.

East MS beat the Salt Lake Stars MS 5-3 in their opener. East MS forward Colt Reese scored a hat trick and forward Andy Killilea added two goals including the game winning goal. East MS next game will be Monday May 13 against South County MS.
