I will always love the game no matter what.

My dream job was so close I could almost feel it.

I was recommended for the opportunity to be a Utah correspondent for NHL.com. Today I found out that they’re going with another candidate that better fits their needs.

I see it as I had a cup of coffee with the NHL, and it just wasn’t my time to get called up yet.

My plan has and will always be to just keep going. I am going to learn from this incredible opportunity and one day become that better candidate.

This opportunity came out of nowhere, and I’m thankful I didn’t search it out myself. I had just graduated and was planning on enjoying my summer. I am still going to do that while also learning and growing.

I love the game of hockey and this will not change that.

With that said we are less than one hour away from the Professional Women Hockey League final, Game 5 of The Walter Cup between Boston and Minnesota.

Boston forced Game 5 with a double overtime 1-0 win this past Sunday.

I am going to keep writing and building a better body of work and one day I will get another shot.
